This chemical company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across our specialty chemical manufacturing facility and outdoor tank farm. Working within a team-oriented environment, you will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain chemical process equipment, mechanical systems, and basic electrical infrastructure to keep downtime to a minimum. There is plenty of room for upward mobility within this role as there are 5 levels of experience/pay for this role and they are looking for a level 2.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on chemical processing machinery, pumps, gearboxes, mixers, motors, and rotating equipment.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical components including bearings, seals, couplings, belts, chains, and process valves.
- Install, maintain, and repair process piping systems (up to 3") and associated instrumentation (gauges, transducers, thermocouples).
- Utilize CMMS work-order software daily to track, document, and manage scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting using multimeters, reading electrical schematics, and working with 110V/220V/460V AC systems.
- Support plant reliability by participating in an after-hours rotating call-in schedule and working mandatory overtime/Saturdays as required by business needs.
- Strictly adhere to OSHA standards and plant safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space Entry, Hot Work, and PPE guidelines.
