Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely building, repairing, and maintaining plant manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency. Operating as a multi-skilled technician, you will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components, perform preventive maintenance, and support capital/reliability projects in a dynamic plastics manufacturing environment.

  • Safely troubleshoot, dismantle, and repair mechanical equipment including gearboxes, motors, air compressors, and centrifugal/hydraulic pumps.
  • Inspect, repair, or replace hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic equipment, utilizing technical blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Set up and operate shop machinery (welder, cutting torch, drill press, grinders, band saws) and use hand/pneumatic tools to fabricate or modify parts.
  • Execute preventive maintenance (PM) routines and utilize the CMMS to log work orders and track spare parts inventory.
  • Safely operate forklifts and aerial lift platforms during equipment overhauls.
  • Maintain safety, environmental, and 5S housekeeping standards across all maintenance operations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or equivalent military technical experience.
  • Hands-on mechanical proficiency with gearboxes, drives, pumps, motors, and air compressors.
  • Practical electrical capabilities including 480V 3-phase, motor controls, AC/DC drives, and the ability to read electrical/hydraulic schematics.
  • Familiarity with basic computer applications (MS Office, Windows; SAP/CMMS is a plus).
  • Ability to operate shop power tools, welders, and industrial mobile equipment safely.
