Job Description

The Role:

We are looking for hands-on, safety-first mechanical experts to take ownership of preventative and corrective maintenance on heavy mill systems and equipment. You won't just be turning wrenches; you will be expected to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems, propose operational improvements, and uphold the highest safety standards in the plant.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Military Technical Background: Recent Navy transition (e.g., 6-year enlistment) highly preferred. or 5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment (your military service strongly qualifies).
  • Core Mechanical Expertise: Deep fundamental knowledge of mechanical power transmission components (couplings, bearings, and gearing).
  • Systems Experience: Hands-on experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems, drive shafts, pumps, conveyor systems, and air compressors.
  • The "Above and Beyond" Factor: We are looking for candidates with a demonstrated initiative attitude. You will need to highlight commendations, special projects, or participation in activities that go outside the normal scope of standard military and civilian duties.
  • Bonus Skills: Any welding experience is a strong plus.
  • Safety Mindset: A proven track record of upholding strict safety policies and operational procedures.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Mechanical Skills and Fundamental Knowledge

• Experience Troubleshooting Mechanical Systems

• 5 or more years in an industrial plant or 6 years as a Nuke MM (possibly consider strong Conventional MM)

Knowledge of mechanical power transmission components such as couplings, bearings, and gearing, as well as any experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, drive shafts, pumps, conveyor systems and air compressors...any welding experience would be a bonus​

This location provides relocation assistance, which includes either paying for moving expenses or offering a flat 5,000 payment to the candidate to manage their own relocation.
