Job Description

This company is looking for a National Account Manager to lead business development and manage major client partnerships within our Food, Beverage, and Nutrition vertical. This is a high-impact, national role focused on hunting for new business opportunities and driving margin growth with existing accounts.

The Reality of the Role: This is not a passive account-maintenance position. You will be responsible for a portfolio carrying an annual revenue target of $15 to $25 million. The sales cycle here is complex and long-term, typically ranging from 12 to 24 months depending on whether a customer requires standard stock solutions or fully customized, engineered packaging designs. Because of the technical nature of these products, you will not work in a silo; you will collaborate daily with internal engineering, R&D, design, and operations teams to scope projects and deliver technical solutions to corporate buyers and plant operations nationwide.

This role requires national travel to interface directly with customers at both corporate headquarters and manufacturing facilities. You will report directly to an experienced Sales Director, and for a performer with strong leadership capability and drive, this position has a clear pathway to transition into a Director-level role.

What We Offer: We operate with a team-first mindset: we win together and we lose together. You will have full corporate alignment and heavy cross-functional support from dedicated marketing, customer service, and technical operations teams to help you close and transition business.

  • Onboarding: A comprehensive 3-to-6-month structured onboarding program designed to learn the product line, technical capabilities, and operational footprint before taking full ownership of the territory.
Requirements
  • The ability and desire to do 70-75% Overnight Travel across the country
  • Proven experience leading complex, long-cycle technical sales or account management.
  • The ability to navigate long sales timelines (12–24 months) involving multiple stakeholders at both executive and plant levels.
  • Strong multi-craft or cross-functional leadership skills to manage projects through influence across internal engineering and R&D teams.
  • A hunting mindset, with the ability to dedicate roughly 60% of your focus to new business development and 40% to account management.
benefits
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance.
  • Employees are able to enroll in the company’s 401K Employee Saving Plan and may participate in its Employee Wellness Program.
  • Employees will also receive paid time off in accordance with company policy and state law requirements.
  • Mileage Reimbursement
