Job Description

This company is seeking a full-time, results-driven Project Manager to join its growing team in Albany, NY. In this role, you will oversee small to medium-sized security integration projects from award through completion. You will partner with a dedicated Project Coordinator and direct a team of field technicians to deliver high-quality access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection solutions. Primary duties include translating client requirements into execution plans, maintaining positive project cash flow, managing material inventory schedules, and serving as the primary liaison between customers, general contractors, and internal operations.

Role Summary

  • Manage full lifecycle execution of local integration projects (100K–1M+) within budget, schedule, and client specs.
  • Serve as the primary client contact and maintain positive project cash flows and healthy margins.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field Leadership: Direct site technicians and sub-contractors, manage daily installation schedules, and enforce site safety protocols.
  • Financial Management: Track job costs, manage scope changes, issue change orders, and handle material procurement/invoicing.
  • Operations & Delivery: Oversee hardware delivery, equipment staging, system testing, and final client sign-off.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Run regular progress meetings with facility managers, general contractors, and internal leadership.

Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of project management experience in a technical environment. Direct industry experience in electronic security systems (access control, CCTV, intrusion detection) strongly preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid grasp of IP networking principles (switches, VLANs), door hardware, and system integrations.
  • Education: College degree, trade school, or equivalent technical military experience.
  • Licensure: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. PMP or industry-specific certifications are a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong conflict resolution, financial cost-control, scheduling, and team-building abilities.
