Job Description

The Service Superintendent is responsible for leading daily service operations and field workforce execution while ensuring exceptional service delivery, employee engagement, customer success, and financial performance. This role serves as a critical leadership position within the business and helps develop the next generation of operational leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Operations & Workforce Leadership: Lead daily field service operations, technician workforce execution, labor productivity, route effectiveness, and workforce utilization. Manage schedules, inventory, and parts ordering from the branch warehouse.
  • Customer Success & Repair Growth: Build customer trust, manage repair contract bookings, track job progress, and partner with sales to identify repair opportunities.
  • Talent & Relationship Management: Recruit, onboard, and mentor field technicians. Build strong, collaborative working relationships with union representatives.
  • Safety & Compliance: Drive safety standards, continuous improvement, and operational discipline across all field work.
Requirements

Experience: 5+ years of leadership/supervisory experience in a service-oriented environment managing field personnel or frontline teams.

Technical Background: Solid mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic foundation.

Education: Associate degree preferred (or equivalent years of hands-on technical/leadership experience).

Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for local field travel.

Key Skills: Workforce planning, scheduling, conflict resolution, union relationship management, and customer-facing communication
